Dubai Design Week. 2022
On 8 November 2022 at Dubai Design Week, artist Marina Fedorova, who has participated in major international exhibitions in China and the Middle East, will present her unique works at Cosmodreams art project. The exhibition takes the viewer into the future, where the vast expanses of distant worlds are embodied in futuristic sculptures, paintings with augmented reality and interior art objects. Marina's work is an intersection of art and design.
While remaining true to her signature approach to painting and her creativity in her artistic vision, Marina Fedorova has always kept up with the times. While her expertise in traditional painting techniques is well known, she is also enthusiastic about experimenting with new technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and interactive installations, exemplified in the Cosmodrerams art experience.
The artist reflects her Russian roots in the image of the first female cosmonauts, playing with the theme of the Russian kokoshnik - subtly transforming this piece of national Russian headdress into interior art objects, revealing their recognisable shape in a new way. The exhibition is complemented by an exciting film - a walk through the space museum: the first virtual museum on the Moon. The fascinating journey includes paintings and sculptures, some of which are on display at the Dubai Design Week.
The Cosmodreams space attracts great interest from visitors to the exhibition, which aims to support Russian art and popularise Russian history. The exhibition reflects the artist's feelings about the beauty of outer space, technological progress and its consequences, social adaptation and the theme of heritage for future generations. This fresh, experimental concept combines painting, contemporary aesthetics and digital technology.
