Hia Hub 4.0. 2024

Running 30 October - 03 November, the fourth edition of Hia Hub, the region’s largest fashion, beauty, and lifestyle conference, features the Cosmodreams art project by artist Marina Fedorova.

Hia Hub unites the world’s most celebrated industry pioneers, trendsetters, artists, experts, and brands to inspire the next generation of fashion and beauty consumers and entrepreneurs through an exciting program of engaging talks, panels, workshops, seminars, and masterclasses. The conference will include interactive exhibitions, art installations, brand activations, and live performances.

The fashion industry has always been a source of inspiration for Marina Fedorova. In the 'CosmoFashion' concept she combines themes from fashion and art and explores them through various media, including painting, sculpture, and digital art. In this context, she creates the video art 'CosmoFashion Show'. A digital sculpting technique is used to develop models to showcase couture dresses, giving them the appearance of frozen sculptures similar to mannequins in stores. The sculptures are then placed in a virtual and cosmic external space. Extraterrestrial landscapes represent a neutral space where all nations and cultures are respected.

Dresses made from artworks play a central role in this concept. The artist paints on canvas, lets the oil dry, then removes the paintings from their frames to use them as a unique material for creating dresses. Marina Fedorova designs the dresses, creates folds, and acts as a fashion designer by utilising oil paintings.

For the first time, Marina Fedorova presents photogravures (in French, "héliogravure") created in a Parisian workshop of "Héliog – Atelier Fanny Boucher". Photogravure has played an essential role in discovering photography, to which its history remains closely linked. The artist references the technological advancements of the 19th century, drawing parallels between heritage and modern technology.

Using augmented reality (AR) technologies, parallel storylines are created through digital scenarios, elevating artistic interaction. When you scan each artwork with your device camera, immersive videos unfold, crossing the gap between art, technology, and the observer's experience.

'CosmoFashion' becomes integral to Marina Fedorova's large-scale art project, Cosmodreams. Curated by Sputnik Partners, global multidisciplinary Design House and Art Platform with a focus on design and art-related activities.
